Artist’s Statement: |
The works represented here are a radical departure from my previous work that was dense and multilayered. I felt a ‘clean break’ was needed and have recently been producing works that reach back to my early training as a printmaker. Print techniques have changed over the past 20 years and, needless to say, so have I.
So, these works are non-traditional in the classical sense of printmaking and reflect concerns that are changing and continuing simultaneously. Concerns like women’s issues, personal freedom, the view of a child of the 50’s and 60’s in a very changed art world and world at large are explored here. |
